Certified Farmers Market to open in Del Paso Heights

The Del Paso Heights Certified Farmers Market opens for the first time this Saturday, July 2 from 7am to Noon in the parking lot of the Robertson Community Center. It will run at the same time every Saturday.

The DPH Farmers Market joins the family of those held at Cesar Chavez Park, Oak Park, and North Natomas.

As a California Certified Farmers’ Market, the DPH Farmers Market becomes the “Real Thing” where the farmers sell their crops directly to the public. Before farmers can sell at a “Certified” Farmers Market, the government checks to ensure the farmer grows the produce the farmer is selling.

The event is sponsored by Councilmember Sandy Sheedy and the Sacramento Neighborhood Center.
