Services restored to Fire Station 17

Fire Station 17 will not be closing as once worried.

The fiscal year 2013-14 budget approved June 11 included the resources to fully staff both stations 1 and 17.

The City will put in place a City-wide temporary rolling brownout of one fire apparatus (fire engine or fire truck) through January 1 2014.

Resources will be reviewed at that time to determine if the rolling brownout is still necessary.

Measure U funds aided with keeping both stations open.
