Community member stops theft at Elementary School

A watchful community member stepped in and helped catch thieves at a local elementary school.

Twin Rivers District Police received an alarm to Westside Elementary School in Rio Linda, Ca.

While Officers were responding, a community member called in and reported seeing a female at the school walking away with a laptop computer and telling another subject about tracking devices.

The community member called back a few minutes later and said the female was back at Westside Elementry with another suspect, and that they had just left again with more items. The community member provided an address were the subjects were in front of the house.

Officers have detained five subjects and have recovered stolen items.
