Parks, police, and fire will all convene at City Hall next Tuesday for what looks like a budget showdown as the council will discuss cuts to all three departments at once.
Parks and Recreation, however, will present their new budget proposal this Thursday to the Parks and Recreation Commission at their annual meeting at Historic City Hall. This comes after their first budget proposal was rejected in mid-May.
We already discussed how the proposed cuts would devastate the recreation scene in North Sacramento and, judging from the turnout at the Park and Rec budget meeting, others were not too pleased.
The Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will take place on Thursday at 7pm at the Historic City Hall Hearing Room (old City Council Chamber).
