In this week’s edition of Sacramento News and Review, prominent North Sac resident and developer Bob Slobe sounded off again on the homeless illegally camping on the American River Parkway.
In his article, Slobe describes the safety issues associated with illegal campers and how these campers, or homeless, have virtually destroyed the Woodlake Reach area of the parkway. He holds nothing back, describing Woodlake Reach as filled with discarded needles, feces, porn magazines, and garbage.
Slobe also describes how North Sacramento has “become the ultimate repository for a growing city’s ills” and how Sacramento has “managed to dump every possible challenge to health and prosperity on our community”.
Slobe is calling on Sacramento and its homeless advocates to share the burden North Sacramento currently carries.
Be interesting to see where things go from here.
Keep up with the American River Parkway on their blog.
