With all the cuts the City is proposing to make to public safety and all, it’s welcoming to hear when one of their operations opens up.
Today is the opening for swimming pools in the north area. The pools are open for rec swim daily from 1pm-5pm and admission is relatively inexpensive ($1.00 for children/teens 17yrs and under, and $2.00 for adults 18yrs and older).
Everyone must pay to enter the pool.
The following pools will operate in the north area:
Johnston Pool & Wading Pool
Opens June 13/Closes August 7
Pool closed Thursdays
Doyle Pool & Wading Pool
Opens June 14/Closes August 7
Pool closed Mondays
Mama Marks Play Pool
Opens June 14/Closes August 5
Closed Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Robertson Play Pool
Opens June 14/Closes August 5
Closed Tuesdays and Thursdays
Natomas High School Pool
No recreation swim; other programs available
Swim programs (lessons, swim team, lap swim, and water aerobics) are offered at some pools.
