The Grant Pacers football team will be honored again tomorrow night, though the celebration will be a little more formal. The Pacers will be honored at tomorrow night’s City Council Meeting at 6pm. Prior to the meeting, Councilmember Sandy Sheedy will host a dessert reception in the City Hall lobby at 5pm.
Grant Pacer’s Football Coach Mike Alberghini has been named the MaxPreps National Coach of the Year. Alberghini has compiled 192-32-1 record at Grant since 1991. In late 2008, he led the Grant Pacers to an upset victory over the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits in the CIF Championship. Congratulations to Coach Al on your many achievements.
The Grant Pacers will receive one more gift from Santa as they will be honored for their Championship during the halftime of tonight’s Sacramento Kings game against the Toronto Raptors. The game begins 7:00pm and will be shown on Comcast Sportsnet West.

The KCRA 3 Holiday Classic comes to Grant High School this Saturday, December 27, 2008. The game is between the best high school seniors from the North (Sacramento) and South (Stockton/Modesto). Seven Grant Pacers are on the North roster. The game kicks off at 1pm.
