Cameron Avila signed his letter of intent with the Arizona Wildcats yesterday in front of a packed house of friends and family at Game-Fit Fitness Training Depot on Del Paso Boulevard.
Avila, who lives with his family in Gardenland, plays pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder for the Grant High Pacers. He began playing as a sophomore in the 2011-12 season.
Avila is 3-1 in 11 appearances all time as a pitcher with the Pacers since the 2011-12 season. His ERA is 1.27.
In all of his 23 games played, Avila’s Batting Average (Avg) is .288. His On Base Percentage (OBP) is .333 with 21 hits, 8 RBIs, and 16 runs.

The University of Arizona Wildcats are part of the Pac-12 Conference and are four-time NCAA National Champions (2012, 1986, 1980, 1976). They have also won four Pac-12 Titles (the last in 2012) and produced 220 MLB Draft Picks (65 MLB Players).
