The Twin Rivers Unified School District Police Department is seeking donations for its annual Christmas toy drive, Operation Christmas.
Thus far, the department has received $1,500 which is far shorter than the $7,000 it received last year by this time. The toy drive serves families in the Twin Rivers, Elverta, and Center school districts.
Police and volunteers plan to go shopping Friday and Saturday to get items from the wish lists of area children.
