Volunteers needed for John Mackey Park clean-up

September 11th has been named a National Day of Service and Remembrance, and we’ve discussed the events taking place at Northgate Park. Still, there is another place in need of volunteers.

John Mackey Park is another site of cleanup and beautification. The park has a good-sized playground, and is best known for its disc golf. The Neighborhood Services Department and Hands on Sacramento need a few more volunteers to help with weeding and spreading mulch at the park. They are also in need of two extra wheelbarrows.

The project begins on Friday, September 11th at 8am. Click here to sign up to volunteer.

Contact Janine Martindale with Neighborhood Services if you have any questions.
