Today, the City Council voted to adopt a resolution to provide park safety improvements at both Johnston and Hagginwood Parks.

The Council awarded Parker Landscape Development the contract to perform the safety improvement to the two parks for an amount not to exceed $250,091. These improvements are expected to include the installation of automatic parking lot gates, security cameras, and additional parking lot lights.

The project is expected to begin at the end of this month and be completed by the end of May 2009.
