Sacto 9-1-1 reports the Sacramento Police Department will be conducting a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint tomorrow somewhere in the north area of Sacramento. Officers will check if drivers are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and if they have a valid license.

The program aims to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving, and to deter drivers from driving under the influence.

Please remember to always designate a driver and never drink and drive; not just tomorrow, but year-round.
