Groceries coming back to Del Paso Blvd?

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market may take one step closer to reality.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008, the Sacramento City Council will hear recommendations to adopt a Redevelopment Agency Resolution authorizing the Executive Director or her designee to:

  1. Amend the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency budget to allocate $2,250,000 of the North Sacramento Redevelopment Area’s Bank of America Line of Credit to the Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market.
  2. Execute an Owner Participation Agreement (OPA), loan agreements, and related documents with Hudson Development Company, LLC for the construction of site improvements.

Fresh & Easy would be the first full-service market since Safeway closed its doors nearly 20 years ago in May 1989. The site of Fresh & Easy is located east of the former Safeway:

The City Council will be presented with the recommendation in the afternoon session of its meeting.
