Golfweek likes Haggin Oaks’ MacKenzie Course

Haggin Oaks’ MacKenzie Course ranks 18th on Golfweek’s list of Best Municipal Courses of 2010.

The 73-year-old course was originally designed by world renowned architect Alister MacKenzie. In 2001, the city put $6.5 million into renovations, improving irrigation and rebuilding the 18th and 9th greens to fit the original Alister MacKenzie design.

Unlike other courses, there are no houses, buildings, or other reminders of the outside world once the player is on the MacKenzie course.

Visit the Alister MacKenzie profile for more information. Visit Haggin Oaks to book a tee time online, or call 916-481-4653.
