Two Pacers headed to the NCAA

Two Grant High School players signed letters of intent to play in the NCAA: Kipeli Koniseti signed with the Arizona State Sun Devils, and Jeremiah Toma signed with the Fresno State Bulldogs. Congratulations to Koniseti and Toma on getting picked up by two prominent programs.

Pacers to be honored (again)

The Grant Pacers football team will be honored again tomorrow night, though the celebration will be a little more formal. The Pacers will be honored at tomorrow night’s City Council Meeting at 6pm. Prior to the meeting, Councilmember Sandy Sheedy will host a dessert reception in the City Hall lobby at 5pm.

Coach Alberghini named MaxPreps Coach of the Year

Grant Pacer’s Football Coach Mike Alberghini has been named the MaxPreps National Coach of the Year. Alberghini has compiled 192-32-1 record at Grant since 1991. In late 2008, he led the Grant Pacers to an upset victory over the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits in the CIF Championship. Congratulations to Coach Al on your many achievements.

Pacers’ Parade Recap

The parade celebrating the Grant Pacers’ Championship was a blast.
