Sac Coalition for Working Families comes to Grant

The Sacramento Coalition for Working Families will bring it’s various services to Grant High School tomorrow. The coalition will provide information on free and reduced-cost child care, health insurance for children, discounted utility programs, and children’s programs. Free tax preparation is availabile by apppointment. The event runs tomorrow from 9am to 3pm.

Twin Rivers opening new resource center

Harmon Johnson Elementary School is opening a family resource center tomorrow afternoon at 2pm with special guest speaker Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg. Twin Rivers may consolidate schools

The Twin Rivers Unified School District will discuss consolidating some of their schools at their upcoming board meeting this Tuesday. Some schools would be consolidated into sixth-through-eighth-grade middle schools and kindergarten-through-eighth grade elementary schools. The open session of the meeting begins at 6:30pm at the Twin Rivers district office in McClellan Park.
