Meet with the police

The North Area Neighborhood Leaders Meeting is this Thursday, June 25 at 7:00pm at the Kinney Police Station. Police Personnel will be on hand to addresses crime and the concerns of the neighborhood. Sacramento Police encourages everyone to invite their friends and neighbors to the 7pm meeting.

Layoff deadline extended

The Sacramento City Council voted to extend the layoff deadline from tomorrow, June 19, 2009 to July 3, 2009. Employees who received layoff notices will remain in their current positions until July 3, 2009. Negotiations with unions are ongoing.

Celebrate freedom this weekend

Celebrate freedom this weekend at Sacramento’s Eighth Annual Juneteenth Festival. The event will feature two stages of live entertainment, various vendors, a children’s area, various contests, theatre performances, a golf tournament and more. The festivities take place at William Land Park on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.

Bonaduce v. Canseco
