The Town and Country Art Fiesta takes place this weekend at the Town & Country Village Shopping Center at Marconi and Fulton Avenues. The Fiesta is the main fundraising event for the Sacramento Suburban Kiwanis. The event runs from 10am to 5pm on both June 5 and 6, 2010.

The Twin Rivers Police Department is searching for an arsonist after a fire destroyed the playground a Hazel Straugh Elementary School. The playground structure was already consumed by flames before firefighters arrived. The Parks and Recreation Commission will hold its monthly meeting this Thursday, June 3rd at the Robertson Community Center, and one of the big topics will be park, recreation, and special events fee changes. The meeting begins at 7pm.
