Rio Linda, Grant, Highlands get big wins

Knights keep winning
The Rio Linda Knights keep continued their remarkable season as they defeated the Casa Roble Rams 49-22. The Knights scored 21 points in the first quarter alone, bringing them to their first win against the Rams since 2010.

Pacers take first step in preventing a losing season
The Grant Pacers took their first step in preventing a losing season as they defeated the Monterey Trail Mustangs 14-7. Grant is 3-0 against Monterey Trail since 2010; however, this was Grant’s lowest scoring performance against Monterey Trail. It was also Grant’s first road win this year.

Scots win a blowout
The Highlands Scots won a blowout against the Bradshaw Christian Pride 61-27. It was the Scots best scoring performance of the season, and it was they first time they defeated the Pride since 2010.

Eagles lose second straight on the road
A big third-quarter performance did not help the El Camino Eagles as they fell to the Whitney Wildcats 21-38. It is the Eagles second straight road loss since defeating Bella Vista on September 21, 2012.

Mustangs lose at home
The Foothill Mustangs lost at home to the Colfax Falcons 49-34. The Mustangs are 0-5 against the Falcons in their five meetings dating back to 2004.

Nighthawks continue to look for a win
The Natomas Nighthawks continue to look for their first win as they were defeated on the road by the Pioneer Patriots 41-7. The Nighthawks are 1-6 overall against the Patriots, defeating them 26-13 in October 2009.
