North area churches commit to Convoy of Hope

The Sacramento Convoy of Hope comes to Cal Expo this Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 10am – 3pm.

The event offers multiple free services to families including:

  • Groceries
  • Health Fair
  • Kids Zone
  • Haircuts
  • Job Fair
  • Family Portraits
  • Community Services
  • Live Entertainment
  • BBQ Lunch

The event takes place in Lot A on the Cal Expo grounds. This lot is close to the Capital City Freeway (Business 80). Free Parking is offered in Lot B; enter from the main entrance off of Exposition Blvd.

Multiple north area churches have committed to be partners in presenting Sacramento’s Convoy of Hope. As of the date of this posting, these churches include:

  • Cornerstone Bible Church
  • Del Paso Union Baptist Church
  • El Camino Baptist
  • Faith Christian Fellowship

The Sacramento Convoy of Hope is a collaborative effort between dozens of local churches, businesses, social service organizations, local government and Convoy of Hope, Inc—a 501(c)(3) non-profit humanitarian organization, serving in the United States and around the world, providing food for the hungry and relief for people in crisis.

This all-volunteer event mobilizes hundreds of area residents to serve and make a difference in their community. Strong participation by local businesses, churches, community agencies, and individuals is crucial to the success of this event.
