Circle of 6 is a free app for iOS and Android devices that lets users build a circle of six trusted people to quickly contact to stay close, stay safe and prevent violence before it happens.

Essentially, the app sends your trusted friends your request for help along with your current location so they can find you. Icons appear for each action, giving a sense of privacy as you take action.

The app was a Winner of the White House Apps Against Abuse Technology Challenge (link).

Vice President Joe Biden had this to say about the app:

“Thanks to the creativity and vision of these developers, young people now have a new line of defense against violence in their lives.”
