Teen arrested after short car chase

A 15-year-old male was arrested after leading officers on a short pursuit in Del Paso Heights on the evening of Tuesday, January 3rd.

An officer observed the young occupants of a white Toyota Camry acting suspiciously and made an illegal U-Turn in front of him. The officer followed and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the Camry did not yield.
A pursuit ensued until the driver and passengers abandoned the still moving vehicle at Knightlinger and Grand Ave. The driver was captured a short distance away.
The vehicle was found to be stolen.

  1. The best and cheapest cars to drive and get car insurance for are
exactly what you think they are. The insurance companies get statistics
of their policy holders and match their liability rating with the type
of car they chose to insure. So if you go after the wrong car, you will
pay a higher premium without the car insurance company bothering to
check what kind of person you are. They base it on make and model alone.
You may not want to drive a minivan. But you are far less likely to get
into trouble if you drive one as opposed to a Chevy Camaro.

  2. Teenagers like to save on car insurance as much as everyone else, and
going that extra mile to lower the overall expense of your new car is
the goal. Getting car insurance for a new car can add up to hundreds and
even thousands of dollars each year of ownership, so it is smart to
study what the costs for car insurance will be.

  3. There is information available which tells you what a car’s value is
compared to its sticker price. Value rating consists of the quality and
existence of standard features, safety features, gas mileage and
customer satisfaction. The humble opinion of this writer finds that
Honda Motors produces some of the top rated cars when it comes to
    overall value.

  5. Some experts suggest that a young driver should drive a very old, very
big and very heavy used car. This kind of car is cheap and disposable,
so there’s no harm done if your teen wrecks it (not counting the harm
done to your insurance premium that will skyrocket again after your
teen’s first accident). These cars also have heavy-duty steel and drive
like a tank, so they could keep drivers safer than newer cars will.

  6. The bottom line to the perfect car for a teenager is to do your homework
(and you thought they would be the only ones doing the homework) and
research the different models for safety and reliability and contact
your insurance agent to find out which models offer the best yearly
rates in terms of insurance cost.

  8. Study after study has shown that teens are the single most risky group
to insure. This makes sense for many reasons. Good drivers tend to be
relaxed, experienced and very observant about what is going on. Teens
driving for the first few times are neither relaxed nor very observant.
It is difficult to relax as the driver when your mother is wearing a
football helmet in the passenger seat and your father is sitting in the
back seat and stomping the floor as though he is pressing the brake!
