Free whooping cough shots (Tdap shots) will be offered at the 11th Annual Healthy Kids Day taking place this Saturday, August 13 from 10am to 2pm at Inderkum High School.

Children in grades 7 – 12 are required to get a Tdap shot prior to starting the 2011-12 school year. Twin Rivers Unified School District begins this Thursday, so this event couldn’t have come at a better time.

The free event will provide guests with health information and free screenings. Cover the Kids will also be assisting families to enroll into eligible health plans.

The event is sponsored by Cover the Kids and Assemblymember Richard Pan, and supported by City Councilmember Angelique Ashby and County Supervisor Phil Serna.
