Dr. Kadhir Rajagopa to speak at Sheraton Grand Hotel

Dr. Kadhir Rajagopa of Grant High School will speak at the California Special Populations Conference on Tuesday, November 30 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel.

Dr. Rajagopal, who was recently named one of five California Teachers of the Year, calls his instructional model C.R.E.A.T.E. In addition to his keynote address, conference attendees may attend an afternoon workshop of interactive discussions, dynamic demonstrations and video. His students will attend both presentations to share their stories and answer questions about their personal experiences with education.

Dr. Rajagopal has been a teacher for seven years as well as an instruction coach for fellow teachers. His Algerbra students at Grant High School have consistently closed the achievement gap in terms of race and income on the California Standards Test (CST) math exam. His book, Create Success! Unlocking the Potential of Urban Students., is slated for release in January 2011.
