The Fourth of July is this Saturday and that means it’s time for fireworks.

There are many fireworks to choose from, so the Bee rated ten on how they look and sound. Just remember to keep things safe.

Also taking place is the annual Sacramento Independence Day Celebration at Cal Expo. Gates open at 4:30pm and the fireworks go off at around 9:30pm. Admission is free, but parking costs $10.

(Just a secret: there is another place to view the Cal Expo show if you don’t want to hassle with the crowd)
