Curfew

The days are getting longer and people are staying out later. That said, the City of Sacramento has a curfew law that makes it a misdemeanor for any minor to remain in any public place or any establish after 10:00pm.

There are exceptions to the curfew ordinance such as if the minor is with their parent or attending an official school function, religious function, or organized dance or sporting event supervised by adults. The exceptions are listed here.

The Sacramento Police Department will conduct random Curfew Sweeps to ensure young people are complying with the ordinance with the hope  that minors are engaged in positive and productive things late at night as opposed to violating the ordinance.
