Activities for New Year’s Eve

Sacramento will be filled with activities to ring in the New Year. Here are a list of some notable activities:

Attendees get a prime rib dinner, dance lessons, karaoke, two DJs, and multiple bars. Cost is $25-$75.

New Year’s Eve Prix Fix Dinner
Enotria Restaurant & Wine Bar

5pm, 7pm, and 9pm Seating

Be served a four-course meal of pear salad, your choice of bass, mixed grill, or butternut squash, and cake at Enotria. Cost is $49 per person, and you must RSVP. Click here to view the full menu.

New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular
Old Sacramento
Evening begins at 6pm, closes down at 12:30am.

The traditional event kicks off at 6pm with activities including live music, food and drink, and other street entertainment until 12:30am. The kid’s program features Radio Disney and the Zoo Station. Fireworks for the kids will be set off at 9pm, followed by another show at midnight. This event is free to the public. Click here for information about where to park.

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop
930 K Street

Sacramento will make history as it joins the ranks of just four U.S. Cities to host a live ball drop. One minute before midnight, a lighted LED ball will descend from a former bank building at 930 K Street. Mayor Kevin Johnson will play the roll of Dick Clark and lead the ceremony, which will include performances by the cast of Broadway Sacramento’s “Stomp” and Cosmopolitan Cabaret’s “Forever Plaid”. Be advised the ceremony will shut down 10th Street between J and L Streets.

Girls Gone Wild New Year’s Eve 2009 at Barcode
Barcode Nightclub and Lounge

Doors open at 8pm

Primarily for the mature demographic, Barcode’s party will feature the official tour bus and film crew from Girls Gone Wild. Alcohol will only be served to those aged 21yrs & up. Cost is $25 for those aged 21yrs and over, $35 for 18-20yrs.
